Key Manager User Portal Features

Key Manager User Portal adds to Key Manager functionality by allowing application owners to request, review, and approve changes to the parts of the SSH key environment under their management.

Key Manager User Portal enables application-key signoff by allowing key-management personnel (Key Manager administrators) to delegate verification and signoff responsibility to application owners, who are most familiar with the authorizations belonging to their applications. User Portal provides application owners with a personalized user interface for reviewing their applications, and the authorizations associated to those applications. After review, application owners can use the User Portal to request, or to directly execute necessary changes to their application keys.

Key Manager User Portal also allows application owners to request for new authorizations, for example, to allow new employees and/or automated services to access to the network resource required for their tasks. Access requests can be used to authorize managed accounts or user-provided authorized keys to specific destinations. User Portal allows you to customize the type of access requests that can be sent by application owners, such as the available methods for specifying source and destination accounts, authorization validity periods, and more.

Key Manager User Portal allows application owners to perform the following:

  • List owned applications.

  • Display detailed information about the user keys that belong to owned applications (application keys).

  • Create and submit action requests for application keys (accept, restrict, remove, restore).

  • Create and submit access requests.

  • Approve access requests to and from the applications they manage (when application-owner approvals are required by application policy).

  • Execute authorization modifications outlined in requests (requires extra permissions).

  • Track the signoff status of application keys.

  • Track old keys in need of renewal.
