Setting Up User Portal Machines

This chapter provides the instructions for setting up a User Portal machine.

The high-level setup workflow consists of the following steps:

1. Install the User Portal rpm package, along with the required support packages.

2. Configure the User Portal machine to serve the User Portal management interfaces: User Portal GUI and Management Portal.

3. Configure User Portal data storage (internal cache, or a PostgreSQL database).

4. Create a User Portal Management Portal user.

5. Start the User Portal services. These steps are described in greater detail in the following sections.
