Custom Fields
You can define custom fields that allow application owners to provide additional information while submitting action requests, and/or when creating access requests. Custom fields can be defined via the Settings→Custom fields page.
You can also add custom fields for application owners to fill in during action submissions. To add new custom fields:
- Click on the Add custom field button.
- Under the Custom fields section, provide the following information about the new field:

Field title: The name of the custom field. The field name must be unique within the system.

Field description (Optional): A free-text description of the field. Can be used to provide further information to the application owner filling in this field.

Field type: The type of data accepted by the custom field. Possible choices are:
- Text: The custom field accepts text. If Multi-line is checked, the text data can contain more than one line of text.
- Dropdown: The custom field accepts a pre-defined value. The pre-defined values that can be chosen are defined in Option values.

Option values: A comma separated list of text values. For example:
Production environment,Test environmentThis setting is available only when Field type is set to Dropdown.

Required: Specify whether information must be provided in the field. If checked, requests cannot be submitted while this field is blank. Otherwise, providing non-empty information in the field is optional.

Multi-line: Specify whether the field accepts multi-line data. If checked, text data provided in this field may contain multiple lines. Otherwise the text data may only contain one line.

Show in Access Requests: If checked, the field is made available to application owners creating and approving access requests.

Show in Action Requests: If checked, the field is made available to application owners submitting key requests.

Click Save to add the new field.
The existing custom fields are listed, and can be modified toward the bottom of the page.
To remove a custom field, click
next to the corresponding custom-field entry.
