Preparing for Setup

Before upgrading the Oracle database that Key Manager uses, note the following prerequisites and precautions:

  • Ensure that the Oracle database version you will migrate the data to is supported by Key Manager.

  • Ensure that Key Manager is able to connect to the server hosting the new Oracle database.

  • These instructions assume that the new database user has same username and password as the old database user.

  • Make sure Key Manager version is 2.X. Key Manager versions 3.0.0 and higher have discontinued Oracle 11 database support.
