Setting the Maximum-Request Limit for Front-End Services

Key Manager front end services are periodically restarted in order to free memory on the front-end machines. On Key Manager front ends with limited memory, you may be able to improve performance by restarting the Key Manager front end services more often.

Front-end services are restarted automatically after they have processed a number of requests, defined by the setting Frontend worker max requests (1024 by default).

To set and apply a new value, perform the following:

  1. On the Key Manager front end, navigate to Settings→General→Backend page. Specify the number of requests in the setting Frontend worker max requests.

  2. Restart the front-end services to apply the new setting:

    # supervisorctl restart frontend:
