Validating the Managed Environment Against Policy Rules
Validate the environment against your policy rules to detect the items that violate policies.
Since suspending a host does not disable using any of the keys on the actual host, the suspended host is included in the policy rule validations as long as it is a member of the target classification, or host group sets of the policy rule.
To validate the environment against some policies, navigate to the Policies→Policy rules page, and perform a Validate action on the target policies.
Key Manager starts jobs to validate the environment against the selected policies. Note that policies are evaluated against the targets set for each respective policy (which may only include parts of the managed environment). Once the validation jobs finish successfully, any items found to violate policies are flagged, and their policy-violations score is adjusted in accordance to the severity of the policies they violate.
