Reviewing SSH Configurations and Software Products
You can review SSH software configurations on the Hosts → SSH Configurations page. The page lists the configurations for SSH products found on the hosts in the managed environment. Unique configurations found during host scans are automatically imported to Key Manager. Each entry on the list corresponds to an individual configuration.
To view the contents of a particular configuration, click View. A configuration can have multiple revisions. Revisions are created when a monitored configuration is changed on the host (changes can be detected by host scans), or when a managed configuration is edited. To view differences between configurations, you need to select two configurations, and under action menu click Compare.
To get a list of hosts that have been assigned or deployed with a particular configuration, check the configuration ID# from its details panel. Then in the Hosts → SSH Products page you can filter products by assigned configuration ID# or deployed configuration ID#.
By default, the SSH configurations list hides deleted configurations. Deleted configurations can be viewed by, for example, removing the default filter criteria associated with the list.
The Hosts → SSH Products page lists the SSH software that is present on hosts in the managed environment. SSH software is found during host scans.
Key Manager does not list configurations for Tectia SSH Servers that use the factory-default settings. This is because the Tectia SSH Server configuration file ssh-server-config.xml does not exist unless its configuration has been modified.
You can view the default values in the ssh-server-config-default.xml file, which is stored under /etc/ssh2/ on Unix and in <INSTALLDIR>\SSH Tectia Server\ on Windows.
