Managing the SSH Key Environment
This chapter covers the key management operations that can be performed using Key Manager. Please note that the hosts must be in the managed environment, and in the managed state before key management operations are enabled on them. Refer to List of Host Actions for instructions about switching host states.
This chapter focuses on actions that impose changes to the key environment. For instructions and tips about getting information about your key environment, see Getting Information About Your Key Environment.
Some management actions may fail if the management information about the target host(s) is outdated. We recommend scanning your hosts regularly to update the management information about them.
For more information about host scans, see Scan Types.
If you experience problems with the key management operations, make sure that your managed hosts are running SSH servers with supported configurations. Refer to the section Supported Host Platforms, SSH Software, and SSH Keys in the Product Description. Furthermore, section Key Manager Limitations in the Product Description provides details about SSH server software specific limitations.
