Managing External Hosts

When Key Manager detects that a host in the managed environment has been accessed from an IP address outside of the managed environment, Key Manager will attempt to resolve the name of the host that owns the IP address. Upon successful name resolution, the source host is recorded in the Key Manager system as an external host.

Subsequently, when Key Manager detects key activity that involves IP addresses from outside the managed environment, Key Manager can map those addresses to human-readable host names according to external- host information.

You can manage external hosts on the Hosts→External hosts page.
